Pastor Mark,

I have enjoyed waking up each morning and clicking on to see what the Lord is saying through you. The devotions have ministered to me personally right where I am in my walk with the Lord. It has been so exciting, and a real faith builder, when one of your devotions corresponded to another devotion, bible study or even a message from Charles Stanley that I read or heard.

God has a way of making His point very clear. He is personally INVOLVED with His children TODAY. I will truly miss going to the Pastor’s corner each day.

I hope that the devotions make it to booklet form and that you might do this again in the near future.

What a blessing this has been to my life! I especially love the one on “The Stamina of Faith.” I find that the only thing that keeps me energized and “keep on keeping on” is the word of God, the church, the wisdom of Pastor Mark, the many prayer warriors that are in our midst, and my daily prayer time. Isaiah 40:31 is my favorite verse in the Bible and has been my inspiration over and over again. It is the basis for the tile picture that I painted in the sanctuary, and it is the theme for our Ladies Retreat this year. The 77 Days of Prayer and Fasting is encouraging and uplifting, and I look forward to each day,

I made the commitment to spend time in God’s word and prayer everyday for 77 days, just like Pastor Mark asked.  I won’t even say if I’ve been fasting, because that is between me and God (I was listening, Pastor Mark).
 
I’ve been a christian for 30 years and nothing like this has ever happened before.  In the first 7 days, I had five prayers answered.  And not just little ho-hum everyday prayers either.  I’m talking major prayers.  One prayer was answered during my prayer!  I keep a journal and started writing down my prayer requests and answers to keep track , (thanks Rusty for what you read to us parents on family night at AWANAs) and I’m literally having trouble keeping up with God.  Now is a really good time to be on my prayer list!
 
 My daughter accepted Christ on day #2!!  How’s that for encouragement?
 
Also, with God’s help I was FINALLY able to quit smoking about 6 months ago.  Since then, I have prayed everyday for others in my extended family who still smoke.  Well, two of my favorite people on the planet have quit smoking since the 77 days began. Praise God!
 
I also have been amazed at the changes in myself.  I’m a bit of a hot-head.  You know, short fuse, big explosion at the end.  Well, since the 77 days began, there has not been one incident when I have lost control of my temper….and the people who know me best have noticed.  My husband is now reading his bible everyday!
 
All this time, I’ve been so afraid to let go, to give God control, and I am literally stunned at what he’s been doing in my life.  I’m afraid 77 days won’t do it for me, Pastor Mark.  I’m hooked on God’s Word.  But I do thank you for the challenge…it has changed my life.
